The Dip Coating Machine is a laboratory-scale device used for impregnation and double-sided coating of flat substrates such as paper, carbon paper, and textile nonwovens. FAQ
1. Uneven coating thickness
Uneven coating liquid concentration, substrate misalignment, or doctor blade gap deviation. Stir coating liquid evenly, adjust guide rollers, and calibrate blade gap.
2. Coating amount too high or too low
Doctor blade height not properly set or coating liquid level inappropriate. Fine-tune blade height and control the liquid level in the reservoir.
3. Substrate wrinkling, unstable transport
Inconsistent upper/lower roller pressure or unstable tension. Adjust roller pressure and stabilize transport tension.
4. Liquid dripping, edge overflow
Coating speed too slow or coating liquid viscosity too low. Appropriately increase speed or adjust liquid viscosity.
5. Abnormal noise during operation
Bearing lack of lubrication, loose drive chain, or debris on rollers. Apply lubricant, tighten chain, and clean roller surfaces.
6. Temperature control failure, abnormal liquid temperature
Heating element fault or temperature probe misalignment. Service the heating assembly; re-fix and calibrate the probe.
7. Severe roller sticking
Infrequent cleaning, solidified coating residue. Stop machine, clean roller surfaces, and perform routine maintenance.
8. Speed control malfunction, unstable speed
Frequency inverter fault or loose motor wiring. Check circuit; reset speed parameters.
9. Poor impregnation penetration
Insufficient dipping depth or too short immersion time. Adjust dipping position and slow down substrate travel speed.
