Product Introduction
The benchtop experimental coating machine is a compact device designed for hot melt adhesive coating and laminating, as well as for surface coating of various substrates. It is user-friendly while delivering precision and consistency comparable to production requirements. The glue tank is thermostatically controlled, making it ideal for bench-scale trials involving hot melt adhesives and other materials requiring heated coating. The device features a compact structure, comprehensive functionality, and ease of operation—even users without prior experience can quickly master it.
Key Features
Compact Benchtop Design: Overall dimensions of just 1100 mm × 550 mm × 600 mm with an aluminum alloy main body, occupying minimal bench space.
High-Precision Coating: Coating accuracy better than ±2 μm, coating length accuracy ±1 mm, and roller runout ≤2 μm, ensuring consistency and repeatability for lab samples.
Thermostatic Glue Tank Heating: Glue tank temperature adjustable from room temperature to 180°C, meeting the melting and coating requirements of various hot melt adhesives.
Continuous Coating and Laminating: Supports continuous coating with integrated laminating function, enabling single-pass coating and bonding for hot melt lamination process studies.
Adjustable Winding Tension: Unwinding tension manually adjustable from 5-50 N, winding tension 5-50 N, with automatic AC motor winding for stable substrate transport.
Easy Operation: Push-button control, manual web guiding, and manual cutting (optional cutting frame), requiring minimal training to operate.

FAQ
1. Glue tank not heating or heating slowly
Temperature set too low, heating element damaged, or temperature probe malfunction. Reset temperature; service heating assembly and sensor.
2. Hot melt adhesive not fully melted
Set temperature insufficient, adhesive contains impurities, or tank has heavy carbon deposits. Increase set temperature; clean residual glue and carbon from tank.
3. Uneven overall coating thickness
Fluctuating transport speed, coating roller gap misalignment, or substrate skewing. Calibrate roller gap; stabilize transport speed; realign substrate.
4. Localized adhesive starvation or break
Blocked glue path, damp/agglomerated adhesive particles, or poor feed. Clear glue channels; use dry, qualified hot melt adhesive.
5. Edge overflow, coating beyond width
Coating width exceeds specification, temperature too high making glue too thin, or doctor blade gap too large. Lower temperature; fine-tune doctor blade gap.
6. Unwinding/winding misalignment
Inappropriate tension or poor manual web guiding; glue build-up on rollers. Adjust unwind/wind tension; correct web guiding promptly.
7. Inconsistent winding tightness
Unstable winding tension or mismatched speed. Synchronize speed; fine-tune winding tension.
8. Weak lamination bond
Insufficient coating amount, low hot melt temperature, or inadequate lamination pressure. Raise temperature appropriately; increase coating amount and lamination pressure.
9. Excessive operating noise
Transmission components lacking lubrication, worn bearings, or debris on rollers. Regularly lubricate; clean debris; inspect bearings.
10. Insufficient air pressure affecting lamination
Inadequate air supply pressure, air hose leak, or loose fittings. Check compressor pressure; tighten air hose fittings.
11. Buttons unresponsive, parameter failure
Poor wiring contact or control panel damp. Power cycle; check internal wiring.
