Product Introduction
This inclined plane friction coefficient tester operates on the inclined-plane method, precisely controlling the tilt angle and angular speed of the platform to measure the angle at which the specimen begins to slide and continues to slide under the sled, thereby calculating the static and kinetic friction coefficients. The angle range is 0° to 85° with an accuracy of 0.01°, and the angular speed is adjustable from 0.1°/s to 10.0°/s, allowing flexible and controllable test conditions. The standard sled mass is 1300 g, with optional 235 g and 200 g sleds; other masses can be customized to suit different materials. Test items include sliding angle, static friction coefficient, and kinetic friction coefficient. During testing, data and results are displayed as real-time curves, enabling researchers to intuitively observe changes in friction behavior. The instrument features automatic timing of the resting period and automatic zeroing of static and kinetic friction coefficients, ensuring full contact between specimens and improving result accuracy. Both the test platform and sled undergo demagnetization and residual magnetism inspection, effectively reducing system errors. The device operates on AC 220V 50Hz, weighs 20 kg, and measures 440×305×200 mm. It is recommended for use at 23±2°C and 20%RH to 70%RH. It is suitable for friction testing of plastic films, sheets, paper, paperboard, and paper-aluminum-plastic composite prints.

The coefficient of friction is an important indicator for evaluating the surface slip performance of packaging materials, directly affecting film runnability on high-speed packaging lines, printability, and final package appearance. The coefficient of friction is divided into static and kinetic components: the static friction coefficient represents the maximum resistance required for a material to start sliding from rest, while the kinetic friction coefficient reflects the resistance during continuous sliding. In food and pharmaceutical packaging, improper control of the friction coefficient of PE, PP, PET monolayer and multilayer composite films can lead to poor film opening, unstable web travel, and inaccurate print registration. The inclined-plane method is a classic friction coefficient testing method. By gradually tilting the platform, it measures the critical angle at which the specimen begins to slide and continues to slide under the gravity component of the sled, from which the friction coefficients are calculated. This method is intuitive and reliable, and is widely used in quality control and R&D for plastic films, paper, paperboard, and composite materials. The inclined plane friction coefficient tester ensures consistency of test conditions and reproducibility of results through high-precision angle control, automatic timing and zeroing, and demagnetization treatment, providing reliable data support for formulation optimization, process adjustment, and incoming material inspection of packaging materials.
