Product Introduction
The AT-PFI-2 Intelligent PFI beater is a laboratory beating device designed for studying pulp beating degree. At the same beating degree, pulp can exhibit different fiber structures (length, fibrillation, branching, etc.), which affect the final paper properties. This instrument is specifically designed for such research. It accommodates a wide range of beating consistencies (5-20%) and features an adjustable gap of 0-25 mm between the housing and the roll, surpassing comparable equipment. The roll lift employs fully automatic vertical sensor positioning with digital touchscreen control, and the revolution counter can be set from 0 to 999,999,999. The entire machine—including the roll, grinding chamber, base plate, and all external panels—is made of stainless steel, meeting ISO 5264/2 and other international standards.
Key Features
Fully Automatic Intelligent Control: The roll lift uses fully automatic vertical sensor positioning. Touchscreen control displays real-time roll speed and revolution count, with a settable range from 0 to 999,999,999 for simple and intuitive operation.
Precision Gap Adjustment: Beating gap adjustable from 0-25 mm with a micrometer dial providing 0.01 mm minimum graduation for precise beating degree control.
Wide Consistency Adaptability: Beating consistency range of 5-20% (optimum 10%), with an oven-dry pulp capacity of 5-30 grams, suitable for various pulp types and experimental protocols.
304 Stainless Steel Construction: The roll, grinding chamber, base plate, and all external panels are stainless steel, easy to clean and corrosion-resistant.
Constant Beating Pressure: Manual press handle with dead-weight loading ensures consistent beating pressure for every experiment, guaranteeing result repeatability.
Multiple Safety Protections: Equipped with protective panels and limit switch protection—operation is only possible when components are in the correct position, ensuring operator safety.
Electric Roll Lift: The roll can be raised and lowered electrically for enhanced convenience and reduced operator effort.
Convenient Cleaning Design: The grinding chamber cover is removable, and a central opening in the grinding vessel allows wastewater drainage for thorough cleaning.

FAQ
1. Does not start or auto-stops at set revolutions
Safety door not closed, infrared sensor triggered, or counting parameter error. Close protection door fully, reset revolutions to zero, reset emergency stop.
2. Insufficient beating, low beating degree
Not all weights loaded, excessive roll gap, or incorrect stock consistency. Load all standard weights, fine-tune gap, adjust to standard 10% consistency.
3. Excessive vibration and noise
Too much or too little stock, foreign object inside, or unstable base. Load standard 10 g oven-dry pulp; remove foreign objects; level machine.
4. Motor overload alarm or trip
Gap set too small causing hard friction, stock too thick, or motor phase loss. Increase roll gap; dilute stock; check 380 V power supply.
5. Touchscreen unresponsive or parameter fluctuation
Screen damp, loose wiring, or system lag. Power cycle, dry panel, recalibrate parameters.
6. Uneven speed, large linear velocity deviation
Frequency converter parameters changed or belt loose and slipping. Restore factory speed parameters; tension drive belt.
7. Water or stock leaking from machine
Bottom seal aged or feed opening not properly sealed. Replace seal; tighten sealing cover plate.
8. Inaccurate counting, premature stop
Sensor probe dirty or misaligned. Clean probe dust; reposition sensor correctly.
