Product Introduction
The Vacuum Sheet Dryer is a laboratory device designed for vacuum-heat drying of handsheets with a diameter of φ200 mm or less. It is used to evaluate pulp properties and establish beating process specifications, and can also be employed for vacuum drying of other similar specimens. The unit adopts vacuum-heating drying, featuring high vacuum and fast drying speed. Water circulation cooling is unnecessary for intermittent operation. The heating element is an integrated heating plate with long service life and easy replacement. The vacuum pump delivers high vacuum and large pumping capacity. Temperature control utilizes intelligent PID with alarms for short circuit, disconnection, and over-temperature, ensuring precise measurement and safe operation. The vacuum system is electromagnetically controlled. During vacuum drying, the device exerts approximately 0.1 MPa of pressing pressure on the sheet; if pressing is not required, a non-pressing vacuum drying component can be selected.
Key Features
High-Vacuum Rapid Drying: Vacuum reaches -0.092 to -0.098 MPa with a pumping rate of 80-120 L/min. Drying time is only 3-6 minutes (basis weight 30-80 g/m²), far more efficient than atmospheric drying.
Intelligent PID Temperature Control: Drying temperature adjustable up to 120°C with PID control; alarms for short circuit, disconnection, and over-temperature ensure precise and safe operation.
Integrated Vacuum Pressing: Approximately 0.1 MPa of pressing pressure is applied during drying, producing denser, smoother sheets. A non-pressing component is available as an option.
Integrated Heating Plate: The heating element uses an integrated design for high thermal efficiency, uniform heat transfer, long life, and easy replacement.
Electromagnetic Vacuum Control: Vacuum system is electromagnetically controlled for simple operation and stable vacuum maintenance.
Multiple Drying Positions: Available with 1 or 2 dryer positions to accommodate different laboratory throughput needs.
Robust Construction: Overall dimensions 1200 mm × 710 mm × 1200 mm, built stably for long-term laboratory use.

FAQ
I. Vacuum Pressure Issues
1. Vacuum won't build or builds slowly
Chamber door not sealed, silicone gasket aged or deformed, line leaks, or vacuum pump filter clogged. Close and clamp door tightly; replace aged gasket; check vacuum line connections; clean pump intake filter.
2. Poor vacuum retention, rapid loss
Cavity gap leakage, vent valve not sealing, or viewing window seal loose. Inspect thoroughly for leaks; service vent valve; tighten window screws.
3. Vacuum pump noisy, excessive vibration
Machine not level, dust accumulation in pump, or obstructed intake. Level the equipment; clean pump body; ensure adequate ventilation.
II. Temperature Issues
1. Slow heating, cannot reach set temperature
Heating element aged or damaged, temperature probe displaced, or excessive heat loss. Inspect and replace heating assembly; reposition probe; close door tightly to minimize heat loss.
2. Large temperature display deviation
Probe contaminated with paper dust and moisture, or temperature controller parameters drifted. Clean probe surface; recalibrate temperature controller.
3. Uneven local heating
Samples packed too densely or poor hot air circulation. Arrange sheets evenly in layers with ventilation gaps.
III. Drying Effect Issues
1. Slow drying, high moisture content
Insufficient vacuum, low temperature, or sheets loaded too thick. Increase vacuum and set appropriate temperature; reduce number of sheets per batch.
2. Sheets yellowed or brittle
Drying temperature too high or time too long. Lower temperature setting; shorten drying duration.
3. Sheets sticking together and deforming
Not separated between layers or high moisture with direct high-temperature drying. Separate sheets with spacers; pre-dry at low temperature before ramping up.
IV. Chamber and Seal Issues
1. Door not closing tightly, gaps
Loose latch or slight door misalignment. Adjust latch tension; correct door position.
2. Water condensation inside chamber
Moisture condensing on cool surfaces or not vented promptly. Release vacuum slowly after drying before opening; periodically clean accumulated water.
V. Electrical Control Issues
1. No power, unit won't start
Loose power cord, faulty power switch, or overload trip. Check power supply wiring; reset circuit breaker.
2. Breaker trips when heating starts
Heating circuit damp with leakage or heating tube insulation compromised. Power off and air-dry equipment; inspect circuit and heating components.
VI. Venting / Pressure Release Issues
1. Slow venting
Vent valve clogged or air path obstructed. Clean paper dust and debris from vent valve; clear air path.
2. Rapid pressure release disturbing sheets
Vent valve opened too wide. Adjust vent valve slowly and evenly to release pressure gradually.
